Make your own antisceptic gel

Why don't you try to make it yourself at home. Many recipes are available to make your own or leave as a gift for friends on their front porch!
In order for the gel to be effective, Health Canada requires that the gel be made of alcohol. It has been used since ancient times as a powerful disinfectant that kills 99% of bacteria and viruses.
A popular formula is to use these ingredients simply and follow the directions.
Necessary ingredients :
- 85 ml rubbing alcohol (available in large stores)
- 0.5 g of Xanthan gum
- 5 ml of aloe (to soften skin vs. drying alcohol)
- 5 ml sunflower oil
- 1 ml tea tree essential oil
- 1 ml eucalyptus or lavender essential oil
Instructions for use :
- Pour the alcohol into a bowl and sprinkle the xanthan gum.
- Stir to remove lumps.
- Pour in the aloe, stir again.
- Add the sunflower oil and essential oils, mix one last time.
- Pour the product into a disinfected bottle at your convenience.
Tips and tricks.
Put your bottles in a cool place for 72 hours before using your antiseptic gel.
If bacteria are present in the container, this is the time required to destroy them.
The solution has a shelf life of three months. Discard after this period.
It takes 20 seconds to kill the bacteria.
In any case, nothing beats a real hand wash of at least thirty seconds, with soap and water.
